To the Amelia EarHawts (DBA Cabin Krewe), I understand that should I be accepted as a new member of the Amelia EarHawts 2026-2027 Mardi Gras Parade season, I bind and obligate myself to pay the dues as per the rules and regulations of the Amelia EarHawts.

Hawts are required to participate in at least 3 Mardi Gras parades and two off season (Boo, Jingle, etc) parades completing the route from start to finish and participate in performances/appearances throughout the year. Out of town members (OUTSIDE OF METRO GREATER NEW ORLEANS AREA) are encouraged to participate but due to travel constraints, this is understood. We hope you can participate in EVERY EVENT!

● Attendance at MANDATORY MEETINGS AND PRACTICES, are simply that, MANDATORY.

● No member is to linger behind the Harvey. Maximum Harvey capacity 10 persons.

● No smoking along the parade route.

● All Hawts must be proficient in all dance routines, no EXCEPTIONS. YOUR PROFICIENCY OF ALL DANCE ROUTINES WILL BE ASSESSED AND MONITORED.

● Drink Responsibly. Your behavior represents THE KREWE, YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY.

● No throwing of any items from the Harvey.

● EACH EVENT WILL HAVE A DESIGNATED LEAD/POINT OF CONTACT. These can include Sr Flight Lieutenants, Line Captains or Lead FLy Personnel.

● Cabin Krewe Fly Girls and Fly Boys are to follow ALL PARADES requests and duties which WILL be determined and in place before every parade.

● Hawts are to wear the full Smiffy's Trolley Dolly uniform including skirt, jacket, scarf and embroidered cap and krewe issued accessories. If provided pencil skirt is just not working, skater skirts are allowed. No alterations or additional embellishments.

● No distribution of business or promotional materials

Code of Conduct/Behavior Policy; Amelia EarHawts dba Cabin Krewe prohibits any and all forms of obscene, offensive, vulgar, disrespectful or political communication or endorsement/promotion.

Maintain personal cleanliness and be free from strong or offensive bodily odor.

• Maintain proper oral hygiene.

• Uniform must be clean for EVERY PERFORMANCE OR EVENT

Acknowledge and adhere to Bus Rules:

● Cutoff date to sign up 2 weeks before first parade. If there are bus seats available, additional $10 fee for week before parade.

● Name will not be entered on to bus list unless payment has been received.

● NO free rides. No refunds. No saving seats. No switching payments to different parades.

● Text, call or e-mail Bus Chair with cancellations. If you are not on list, no ride.

● ALL riders are expected to help load and unload bus.

● Bus riders are expected to know where, when, etc ALL bus details.

Amelia EarHawts and Cabin Krewe costumes, attire, logos and accessories are to be worn ONLY at events where Cabin Krewe, Inc, DBA Amelia EarHawts is a participant.

SR. FLIGHT LIEUTENANTS (Helen Killion, Valerie Killion, Michelle Schlafly) RESERVE THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE OR BAN INDIVIDUALS FOR ANY REASON AT ANY TIME FROM MEMBERSHIP ON A TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT BASIS, WITHOUT ANY REIMBURSEMENT FOR PAYMENTS, FEES, OR PURCHASES.

I, the undersigned, hereby acknowledge receipt of Krewe Rules and Regulations. I have read and understand the same and hereby agree to comply. I understand that violation of this or any other Krewe rule, regulation, policy or tradition or any other conduct unbecoming a member of the Cabin Krewe, Inc, DBA Amelia EarHawts may result in ejection from the Parade(s) or other Krewe functions and further disciplinary action may result in my censure, suspension or immediate expulsion from the Krewe. In the event I fail to comply with these Rules and Regulation, I hereby agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Amelia EarHawts/Cabin Krewe Inc, its members, founders and officers from any liability in connection there with.

WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

THIS WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT is entered into this day upon electronic acknowledgment of signature of completion.

Whereas, the undersigned will be participating in the Amelia EarHawts DBA Cabin Krewe, Inc 2026/2027. Now therefore, the undersigned agrees as follows:

GENERAL RELEASE: The undersigned, on the undersigned’s behalf, and on behalf of the undersigned’s heirs and assigned, hereby releases and waives any and all claims that the undersigned may now or hereafter have against Amelia EarHawts and Cabin Krewe, parade participants and affiliates from and against any and all liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses of whatever kind or nature, including attorney’s fees, which the undersigned may incur as a result of any injury to the undersigned or the personal property of the undersigned as a result of the undersigned’s participation in the Event, whether on or off of practice locations, parade route, formation and disbanding areas, including, without limitation, personal injury and damages thereof including loss of income, earnings, bodily injury, pain and suffering, emotional or mental distress and any and all medical expenses.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: The undersigned acknowledges and understands that participation in the Event by the undersigned may involve a certain degree of risk of personal injury and injury to personal property which may result from the undersigned’s participation therein. Such injuries may be caused by other participants in or spectators of the Event, other conditions caused by weather, obstacles and obstructions, mechanical, design and locomotion and any and all other natural or man-made conditions which may be hazardous to the undersigned or create hazards to the undersigned’s participation in the Event. The undersigned further acknowledges and assumes all risk of injury and/or damage to the undersigned and to the undersigned’s property which may result from any reason whatsoever thereby.

INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS: The undersigned agrees to and shall unequivocally protect, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Amelia EarHawts and Cabin Krewe members and parade participants from and against any and all present or future actions, claims, demands, suits, losses, expenses (including, but not limited to, fines, penalties court costs, and attorney’s fees), costs, damages, liabilities or judgments of any nature whatsoever, whether known or unknown as though expressly set forth and described herein, asserted by any person for injury, sickness, disease or death, or damages to persons or property, including, but not limited to, loss of use resulting there from which damage or injury may incur, suffer, become liable for, or which may be asserted or claimed against Amelia EarHawts and Cabin Krewe and parade participants caused by, arising out of, related to, resulting from, or by reason of the undersigned’s participation in the Event and/or any negligent or intentional acts or omissions, whether they are actual or alleged even if such is groundless, false or fraudulent, of the undersigned, its employees, agents, contractors, heirs, representatives, assigns, and anyone directly or indirectly acting on behalf of, by, or through the undersigned. Amelia EarHawts and Cabin Krewe and parade participants shall not be required to sustain an actual loss for the duty to protect, defend, indemnify and hold harmless set out in these provisions to commence and the duty to defend and indemnify shall begin at the onset of any claim or litigation.

BINDING EFFECT: The foregoing provisions shall be fully binding upon and shall be effective against the undersigned, its employees, agents, contractors, heirs, representatives, assigns and anyone directly or indirectly acting on behalf of, by, or through the undersigned and shall apply to the actions of the undersigned personally or otherwise. The undersigned’s obligations set forth in the foregoing paragraph shall survive indefinitely and the undersigned understands, acknowledges and agrees that all risk of participation in the Event shall be that of the undersigned.
